TMZ is reporting that pop superstar and Thicke family legacy, Robin Thicke, cancelled his Atlanta concert last night in order to fly back to Canada in an attempt to save his failing marriage. His wife, actress Paula Patton, has potentially filed for divorce. Robin essentially was listed as having a sore throat, but the unofficial reasoning behind the show’s cancellation seems to be Robin’s reluctance to accept the divorce, preferring to reconcile.

The couple has a 4 year old son. They married in 2005 but have known one another since their high school years. Earlier this week, a statement was issued on behalf of them both, reading, “We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time.” However, speculation has now arose that potentially Robin isn’t mutually decided in the direction of divorce, instead ambitious and desperate to reconcile the issues between he and Paula, which some sources have cited as constant arguing. Though the couple’s marriage has been linked to being on the brink of divorce in years past, they were recently at this year’s Grammys in L.A. together, somewhat dismissing such gossip.

If the divorce does seemingly go as the press statement would conclude, then maybe we should look inside the numbers that matter. Thicke is worth roughly $15 million and wife Paula is worth $3 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. Thicke, of course, known for his hit song, Blurred Lines, and Paula, known for Mission Impossible and Precious, would have some financial doldrums to negotiate. Its not been said yet whether Paula would go the road of Katie Holmes and leave her man’s finances alone, but one must presume major complications with so much cash up for grabs and a 4 year old child.
